Pizol Panoramic Altitude Trail

The high plateau at 2222 meters, that the trail crosses, is placed in front of the Sardona Tectonic Arena like a naturally shaped viewing platform. As a result, the hike offers a breathtaking panoramic view. There is a rich variety of views to be enjoyed: into the World Heritage area, across the Rhine Valley and as far as Lake Constance in clear weather conditions. The High Altitude Trail is lined with information about the view, the origin of the Alps and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the highlights is the Tagweidlichopf vantage point (2275 m above sea level) with a beautiful panoramic view and a large panoramic viewing guide.

Thanks to the Sardona World Heritage Site, a Grand Tour of Switzerland photo spot with a view of the Pizol summit and its glacier was installed here in July 2018. The Pizol was chosen as one of the 40 most beautiful photo spots in Switzerland.

Access: 8-seater Gondola Bad Ragaz-Pardiel and 4-seater chairlift Laufböden (40 min.), or 8-seater Gondola Wangs-Furt and 4-seater chairlift Furt-Gaffia-Pizolhütte (45 min.).
